10 Must-Visit Restaurants in Bali

Sometimes life at Scoopon is just tough! Having to taste amazing meals and review incredible restaurants in a paradise location… Hard times. Actually, we love it! Who wouldn't? Food and travel are a match made in heaven.

Food experiences in Asia are always packed with punchy flavours and have worldwide influences creating amazing, fusion-style meals.

Bali is a Mecca for great food options, so if you're heading over to this popular island in Indonesia, you absolutely must visit these tasty places...

1. Mama San

Mama San is a happening place with a great vibe, located in Seminyak. Best described as a serving of all Asian cuisines, you'll be sure to find options of Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Malay, Singaporean, Thai, Cambodian and Vietnamese heritages. The must order dish is Pad Thai (our Scoopon expert says it's the best they've had!) and the Roti bread is an essential side dish. We recommend booking via email to ensure a reserved spot! Once you're full, head up to the vibrant bar upstairs.

2. Sarong

Sister restaurant to Mama San, Sarong is a formal and fancy option for dinner. The menu is slightly pricier but the mouth-watering meals from the street food inspired menu certainly make up for it.

3. Potato Head Beach Club

The coolest beach club you will visit in the world. On arrival, the concierge will take your name and you are free to try and grab a spot on one of the relaxing sofas or fabulous tables. We recommend that you try one of their signature sangria fish bowls. Take a towel and your bathers as it's all too easy to take a refreshing dip in the stunning pool. Potato Head is also now home to the first international Movida Restaurant serving Spanish tapas and a delicious array of cocktails.

4. Sea Circus

Visit this place as many times as you possibly can! All the fabulous people go here. Bright, breezy and with the best breakfast option in Bali, you'll get great value for money as 2 poached eggs with smashed avocado on toast is only AUD $5. Our top pick from the menu would have to be the sweet corn fritters.

5. Ku De Ta

The most iconic hot spot in Bali. Downstairs opens for lunch and dinner, with an amazingly large bar area and an outside area with deck chairs right on the beach. Upstairs is the Majakawi Dining Experience, a 5 or 12 course degustation.  We tried the wine matching with the degustation and it was well worth it. Must visit location in Bali for cocktails and an afternoon in the sun.

6. Sardine

Sardine is a must see. especially if you are a lover of seafood.  Set over looking rice paddie fields this is a stunning location for dinner or drinks.

7. Motel Mexicola

Located in the heart of Seminyak lies this colourful oasis. With its beautiful decor, to the tiled table tops you would be excused for thinking you were in Mexico. Serving up fresh Mexican tapas designed to share, paired with fruity cocktails, this is a ho-spot not to be missed.

8. La Luciola

A traditional Italian restaurant. La Luciola is a beautiful, open-plan venue, right on the beach in Seminyak. Try the lychee mocktail while you choose from the lunch/dinner menu. Service is excellent and reviews are highly rated for La Luciola.

9. Café Zucchini

Right on "Eat Street" in Seminyak. Cheap lunch option as a bowl of up to three different salads will only cost around AUD $6. Expect menu items such as crispy corn fritters and fresh drinks with mint and lemon. Great for lunch on the run while shopping at the boutiques in Seminyak.
