Flour, Eggs, Water

Brainchild from the genius’ behind A Tavola, their concept is simple: fresh, authentic pasta made on-site using three key ingredients. Yep, you guessed it – flour, eggs and water. All their dishes are drool-worthy, but we’d recommend the rigatoni pork fennel sausage and mushroom. It’s basically life-changing.

Osteria Emilia

You might have seen their “Pasta Emilia”  traditional and organic range sold at farmers markets across the city, but a dining experience at their Surry Hills base is a must-do for pasta lovers. With a rustic, authentic atmosphere and a seasonally updated menu, you can be sure of one thing: delicious pasta.

Appetito Restaurant

Close your eyes and picture a classic Italian restaurant, complete with red and white check tablecloths. Open them at Appetito and if it wasn’t for the harbour views, you would think you’ve woken up in Rome! It’s not just the atmosphere that’s world-class, because their fresh pasta menu is pretty damn special, too. The good news? You can scoop it up, on sale now.

Vasco Bar 

Another Surry Hills gem with a rock’n’roll twist. Pair a dish of their fresh homemade gnocchi with a signature cocktail and you’ll be in for a treat.

Buffalo Dining Club

We’ve got two words for you: Cheese. Wheel. At Buffalo Dining Club you can have your dreams come true by ordering their signature spaghetti cacio e pepe served in an actual cheese wheel. Need we say more?

Stella D'Italia

Nestled at the St Peters end of King Street, Stella D’Italia serves up authentic fare with a smile. Combined with the aroma of their wood-fired oven, you'll think you’ve died and gone to Italian heaven. Check them out on Scoopon, now live. 


Located at the pricey end of our list is CBD gem Pendolino, located in the historic Strand Arcade. With menu highlights like Ricotta Gnocchi with White Rocks Veal Tomato Ragu, and Rye Flour Tagliatelle with Slow Cooked Duck, it’s worth well worth the spend.
